DUNCAN BRANNAN

A recent Fine Art graduate of the University of Kent, Duncan Brannan is interested in the impact of the development of communication technologies; how we're now able to navigate our own fast-track path through a vast array of imagery.

He is currently fascinated with painting the portraits of avatars from online, virtual worlds. In parallel with these media snap shots, Brannan also paints on a larger scale with abstract geometric works.

Brannan attempts to explore the equilibrium between the structured order and creative chaos that he sees all around him; the way in which human bodies are all made from the same structural building blocks of DNA and yet each individual can turn out so differently.
